The Difference Is What’s Inside: A SUP Paddle With a Built-In Sail

Sailpaddle Mx - 2 piece, adjustable paddle

At first glance, Sailpaddle Mx looks like a regular stand-up paddleboard paddle.

You can carry it to the water, adjust the length, and use it like a normal SUP paddle. That part matters, because Sailpaddle was designed to be a paddle first.

But the difference is what’s inside.

Stored inside the paddle shaft is a built-in sail assembly. When the wind is at your back and conditions are right, you can pull the cap at the top of the handle and draw the sail, mast, and boom out of the paddle. The boom drops into place, and your paddle gives you another option on the water: simple downwind SUP sailing.

No separate mast. No extra rig.

No bulky sail kit to carry.

Just your paddle — with a sail built inside.

A Paddle First

Sailpaddle Mx is an adjustable SUP paddle that can be used like a regular paddle when you want to paddle. It adjusts from 66" to 83", making it easy to use for different paddlers and conditions.

That is one of the things that makes Sailpaddle different from separate paddleboard sail kits. You are not carrying an extra piece of gear just in case the wind comes up. Your paddle is already in your hands.

When the water is calm, paddle normally.

When the wind is at your back, pull out the sail and enjoy the ride downwind.

The Sail Stores Inside the Paddle

The built-in sail assembly is stored inside the paddle shaft. The cap at the top of the handle is attached to the top of the mast, so when you pull the cap, the sail assembly comes out with it.

When you are done sailing, push the sail assembly back into the paddle shaft and push the cap back into place in the handle.

That simple design keeps everything together. There is no separate sail bag, mast, rig, or board attachment to manage. The sail is part of the paddle.

Simple Downwind Fun

Sailpaddle is designed for simple downwind paddleboard cruising. It is not complicated windsurfing, and it is not meant to replace a full sail rig. It is for paddleboarders who want a fun, portable way to enjoy the wind when it is working in their favor.

On a lake, harbor, or calm open water, you can paddle upwind or across the water, turn around, and sail downwind when the wind is at your back.

Easy to Bring Along. It's a SUP paddle with a built-in sail.

Sailpaddle Mx has a two-piece design, making it easy to bring along for travel, family days, lake trips, or a quick paddle after work. It stows in two pieces at about 48" long, so it can fit in a car trunk, back seat, or storage space.

That makes it practical for real life. You do not need a special board, a separate sail kit, or a big bag of gear.

Why It Matters

The difference is not just that Sailpaddle has a sail.

The difference is that the sail is built into something you already need: your paddle.

That is what makes Sailpaddle simple, portable, and fun. It gives paddleboarders another way to enjoy the water when the wind is right — without making paddleboarding complicated.

Paddle. Then sail.
